Dwight Little Bio

Dwight Little is a graduate of the USC School of Cinema.
His student thesis film,“Americano” won the Focus Film Festival and the Chicago Student Film Festival.
His documentary “Spies” won an Emmy award for outstanding special program.

Early in his career, Mr. Little filmed independent  features in many countries with international casts.
His first wide theatrical release was the indie hit “Halloween 4”, which was number one at the box office for three weekends.
Also enjoying wide theatrical release was “Phantom of the Opera” starring Robert Englund. The film has become a well reviewed cult classic recently rereleased on Blu-Ray.

Mr. Little’s first studio feature was  “Marked for Death” with Steven Seagal which was a number one hit for 20th Century Fox. Other studio features include “Murder at 1600,”  “Rapid Fire,” “Free Willy 2,” and “Anacondas-The Hunt for the Blood Orchid.”

For television Mr. Little has directed multiple episodes of the Emmy Award winning legal series “The Practice,”  as well as many of the most popular television series in recent years.
Among his many credits are “Prison Break,” “24,” “Bones,” “Nikita,”  “Arrow,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Dusk Til Dawn,” “Agents of Shield,” and “Scorpion.”

Other projects have included the television movies “Boss of Bosses” with
Chazz Palamintiri, “Papa’s Angels” with Scott Bakula, and the indie feature “Tekken” based on the  popular Japanese fighting game.

Mr. Little’s latest feature film, from Epic Pictures, “Last Rampage” was released in 2017 to excellent reviews in Variety, the LA Times , and the New York Observer.

The film stars Robert Patrick and Heather Graham and tells the true story of the daring prison break of Gary Tison and Randy Greenawalt from the Arizona State prison in Florence, AZ in the summer of 1978.

Mr. Little is developing the much anticipated independent feature “Tiger Heart” for filming in India in 2021.”

Mr. Little lives in Calabasas with his wife Sandy and two teenage boys Jackson and Graeme.  Mr. Little’s stepson is Jason Richter who is an actor and producer living in Studio City, California.
